The Physician Assistant (PA) will work closely with the supervising Urologist to deliver exceptional clinical care, perform procedures, and manage patient education and follow-up. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations Diagnose and treat urologic conditions such as kidney stones, UTIs, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and prostate disorders Perform or assist with procedures including cystoscopies, catheter placements, bladder scans, and urodynamic studies Provide preoperative and postoperative care and patient education Document encounters, orders, and prescriptions within the EMR Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term management Manage patient inquiries and ensure appropriate follow-up care Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current Maine PA license (or eligibility to obtain) Urology or surgical experience preferred but not required Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Commitment to providing patient-centered, evidence-based care
